I met Jen years ago through a mutual friend. We never really hung out, but she always liked my We Were Inverted posts on Facebook and Instagram. She also reached out to me for advice on amusement park visits several times knowing that I’ve been to so many. That all changed in 2023 when we decided to go to a park together for the first time. That park was Hersheypark.

We had a blast running all around the park riding every single coaster, a few of them several times. For someone I didn’t consider a coaster “nerd” like me, she sure liked to ride and ride a lot. Needless to say, we had a blast, and she was eager to visit another park.

Jen didn’t have to wait long for another invite either. I wanted to head down to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW) for their Howl-O-Scream event with Eric and his wife. I needed a ride partner too, so I asked Jen. Was she ever stoked! Long story short, Jen loved the park and considers it her favorite. We rode every coaster once again, hitting up a few several times… again!

Before the end of 2023 Jen and I would go back to Hersheypark for Christmas Candylane. We rode all the coasters that were in operation, but spent a lot of time on Wildcat’s Revenge. We got in 10 rides on the hybrid and probably could have managed more if we didn’t traverse the park a couple of times. Maybe Jen is a coaster nerd? Oh, and Wildcat’s Revenge is her favorite coaster as of the creation of her page here.

In 2024 I didn’t hesitate to ask Jen out to a few more park trips. So far we’ve made a return trip to BGW, her first-ever visits to Dorney Park and Carowinds, and a trip to Kings Dominion – a park she hadn’t visited since 2001.
