Q&A: 2021 Flight Crew Reflections – Renee

As 2021 draws to a close, I asked some of the We Were Inverted Flight Crew to take part in a mini-interview to share some of their experiences from throughout the year. Learn about their new credits and learn about some of their fondest memories spent at amusement parks this year.

New Coaster Credits

Q. How many new credits did you gain in 2021?

A. In 2021, I gained a total of 11 new credits. Those credits were:

Q. Of those credits, what was your favorite steel coaster?

A. GaleForce at Playland’s Castaway Cove and Runaway Tram at Morey’s Piers. Both of them were super fun. GaleForce is unlike any coaster I’ve ridden before. It’s super intense and pushed me out of my comfort zone completely. Now I understand why it’s called GaleForce! One of my favorite things about Runaway Tram is the lighting and how family-friendly the ride is, while still giving you a thrill.

Q. How about wooden coaster? Which was your favorite of the year?

A. Great White at Morey’s Piers. It is easily in my Top 5 coasters of all-time because of the entire experience. It is super-smooth for a wooden coaster, a lengthy ride, and you get an awesome view of the ocean while on the ride.

New Parks Visited

Q. Did you get to visit any new parks in 2021? If so, which one(s) did you enjoy the most?

A. All the parks where I got new credits were the new parks I visited: Funplex: Mount Laurel, Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, Morey’s Piers, and Playland’s Castaway Cove.

We had an amazing day back in June visitng 4 New Jersey parks & scoring Renee 11 new credits.
2021 Memories & 2022 Hopes

Q. What are some of your favorite memories from your trips in 2021?

A. My favorite memory was the day trip I took with you, Sam, and Greg to New Jersey. We visited four different parks in one day and did a few other fun things in between. We had lots of laughs, jokes, and good times shared. That trip will always be one of my happiest memories shared with my coaster buddies.

Q. What are some of your hopes/goals for trips in 2022?

A. A goal I have for 2022 is to visit two parks – Dollywood and Cedar Point. These parks have been on my bucket list for a while and I would really like to attend them with my coaster buddies.

A lot of great memories at various amusement parks on numerous roller coasters were experienced throughout 2021. It was great getting to relive these experiences and we hope that you enjoyed reading about each and every one of them as they happened here on We Were Inverted. We can’t wait to share more with you in 2022 and beyond.
