It’s almost the end of January 2023 and I’m just now publishing my annual All the New Credits blog to the site. Truth be told, I recently began a new job that has me adjusting not only to new duties, but also an entirely new sleep schedule. Thankfully I worked on this list throughout the entirety of 2022, so I mostly kept on top of all the crew’s tallies. I did need to verify a few things, however. With everyone’s new credits finalized, and some notes about each crew member’s 2022 additions now written, I can finally debut this overdue blog.
This entry will feature some new faces. We Were Inverted inducted new Crew Members in 2022 with Josh and Aaron. Add in the fact that James is making his first-ever appearance on one of these tallies, and it looks a little different than years past. Well, that and the person leading off the list. And that person is…

Wingman's 2022 Recap
For the site’s first two years Sam kicked off the annual list, earning 59 new credits in 2020 and 75 in 2021. Well, that has now changed and for the first time, a crew member hit triple digits for new credits. Kaylee’s 109 credits in 2022 saw her going up and down the East Coast and even into Canada. She visited several parks for the first time and cleaned up some missing credits at others she’s visited many times before.
While Kaylee got to experience some brand new headline attractions such as Velocicoaster at Universal Studios Island of Adventure (USIoA) and Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa (BGT), she also managed to snag an obscure credit in Dragon Mountain at Marineland. I’m jealous of her for getting to ride all three of those and so many more on her 2022 credit list. Hopefully once I settle into this new job, I’ll be able to find time to travel out to some of these parks I have yet to visit.
2. Josh (+30)
- Busch Gardens Tampa (1): Iron Gwazi
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
- Disney California Adventure (2): Goofy’s Sky School, Incredicoaster
- Disneyland (2): Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain
- Knott’s Berry Farm (7): Coast Rider, GhostRider, HangTime, Jaguar!, Pony Express, Sierra Sidewinder, Silver Bullet
- Sea World Orlando (1): Ice Breaker
- Six Flags America (1): Great Chase
- Six Flags Magic Mountain (15): Batman the Ride, Full Throttle, Gold Rusher, Goliath, New Revolution, Ninja, Riddler’s Revenge, Scream!, Superman: Escape From Krypton, Tatsu, Twisted Colossus, Viper, West Coast Racers, Wonder Woman Flight of Courage, X2
Wingman's 2022 Recap
Coming in second, just edging out third place by one coaster – a kiddie coaster, is Josh. Josh and Aaron did some traveling to the West Coast and down to Florida in 2022. Naturally they were there to ride some coasters. Since Josh also visited Six Flags America (SFA) in April, he also managed to snag a ride on Great Chase. Yes, I made him do it, but he loved it.
Like Kaylee, Josh was able to get out to several parks that I have yet to visit. I really need to spend some time on the West Coast and in Florida to nab some of these credits. There are so many great coasters just waiting for me to experience in both locations.
3. Aaron (+27)
- Busch Gardens Tampa (1): Iron Gwazi
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
- Disney California Adventure (2): Goofy’s Sky School, Incredicoaster
- Disneyland (2): Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain
- Knott’s Berry Farm (7): Coast Rider, GhostRider, HangTime, Jaguar!, Pony Express, Sierra Sidewinder, Silver Bullet
- Sea World Orlando (1): Ice Breaker
- Six Flags Magic Mountain (15): Batman the Ride, Full Throttle, Gold Rusher, Goliath, New Revolution, Ninja, Riddler’s Revenge, Scream!, Superman: Escape From Krypton, Tatsu, Twisted Colossus, Viper, West Coast Racers, Wonder Woman Flight of Courage, X2
Wingman's 2022 Recap
All Aaron had to do to tie Josh for second place was not blow off a trip to SFA to do homework. He could have sat his butt on Great Chase with us and also had 30 credits to his name in 2022. Instead, he’s in third place with 29. Sucks to suck!
All kidding aside, I really wish I could have snuck a ride in Aaron’s or Josh’s suitcases to visit a lot of the parks found above. It’s been a while since I’ve visited BGT and that was pre-Cobra’s Curse. So there are several new credits that I need there. The last time I visited Sea World Orlando (SWO) it was 1989 and there was not a coaster in sight. Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Six Flags Magic Mountain (SFMM) would all be first time visits for me. It’s time to start saving.
4. Sam (+11 Credits)
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
- Camden Park (4): Big Dipper, Haunted House, Little Dipper, Slingshot
- iPlay America (1): Freedom Rider
- Kings Dominion (1): Tumbili
- Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America (4): Avatar Airbender, Fairly Odd Coaster, Pepsi Orange Streak, Sponge Bob Square Pant Rock Bottom Plunge
Wingman's 2022 Recap
Something you’re going to be reading from here on out with the rest of the wingmen featured below is how busy 2022 was with work and/or school. For Sam, she split time between work, school, and an internship. Add in the price of gas, especially in the spring, and Sam and I didn’t venture out as much as we have the previous two years.
A lot of what Sam and I were able to do came closer to home, usually getting a credit here and there like at iPlay America or filling in some gaps at Kings Dominion. A trip she took to Minnesota early in the year did net her four credits from Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America, however. That’s another place I need to visit.
With all that said, my favorite trip of 2022 still involved Sam. We made our way down to West Virginia to visit Camden Park and stop at some cryptid museums along the way. It’s a trip we’ve been talking about for two years. We finally made it happen in 2022. If you visit We Were Inverted’s YouTube channel you can see some vlogs and POV videos from that trip.
5. Patrick (+6 Credits)
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
- Camden Park (4): Big Dipper, Haunted House, Little Dipper, Slingshot
- Kings Dominion (1): Tumbili
My 2022 Recap
In 2022 I finally got to ride Pantheon after looking at it for over two years at Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW). I guess you can say that about Tumbili too since it sat in pieces in the Kings Dominion parking lot for ages.
Other than those two new for 2022 coasters, my four remaining credits came from Camden Park when Sam and I visited in August. And yes, I count the Haunted House. Back when I began counting credits, the Roller Coaster Database (RCDB) listed Conneaut Lake Park’s Devil’s Den as a coaster. Some time later, they removed it. I wasn’t fond of the idea of having to check on statuses of coasters to see if they changed, so I just left it. Since Camden’s Haunted House is of similar design, I counted it as well. I’m also a typical credit whore, so yeah…
6. Greg (+4 Credits)
- Kings Dominion (4): Dominator, Racer 75 (North), Tumbili, Woodstock Express
Wingman's 2022 Recap
Greg is someone I didn’t get to spend much time with in 2022, sadly. He was constantly telling me how bad he wished he could make it out to more parks all year. Thankfully we did manage to make it out to Hersheypark for Wildcat’s last day of operations. That was an awesome day.
When it came to new credits, however, all of Greg’s came from one park – Kings Dominion. Greg and Sam visited the park with me for my birthday and we all had an amazing day. Greg and I both needed Tumbili (Sam got it several weeks before), but he also needed to clean up some missing credits such as Dominator. And in Greg fashion, he walked away with several new keychains that day.
7. James (+3)
- Six Flags Great Adventure (3): Dark Knight, Green Lantern, Jersey Devil Coaster
Wingman's 2022 Recap
James and I have visited so many amusement parks together over the years. I fully expected that to be the case when this site launched. With Covid-19, work, family, and a career change however, James’ time didn’t allow much time for us to go ride coasters. Well, in 2022 that finally changed.
While taking some classes in New Jersey for his new job, we were able to visit Six Flags Great Adventure (SFGAdv) for the first time in years. We had been to the park numerous times in the past, but James had missed out on several credits such as Dark Knight and Green Lantern. While I was glad he scooped up those credits, I was excited for him to experience his first single rail coaster in Jersey Devil. We were both excited for it when it was announced years ago. Luckily for us, it was a super slow day when we visited and we walked right onto the coaster several times. We also got in some back row rides, which us enthusiasts love.
8. Renee (+2 Credits)
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
- Epcot Center (1): Guardians of the Galaxy
Wingman's 2022 Recap
Renee and I actually spent quite a bit of time riding coasters together in 2022. A lot of that came at Hersheypark. We’ve both been to the park too many times to count, so there was no new credits to be had during those visits. Thankfully one of the days Renee and I thought about going to Hershey, we decided to change it up and go to BGW instead. Mindy came along with us and they both experienced Pantheon for the first time.
To close out 2022, Renee and her fiancé, took a trip down to Florida and stopped at Epcot. While there, they rode the all-new Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Also a fan of dark rides, Renee fell in love with Guardians’ blend of dark ride and coaster elements.
9. (tied) Chris D. (+1 Credit)
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
Wingman's 2022 Recap
Chris has been wanting to head north to visit Hersheypark and Knoebels for the last few years, but for the same reasons for many of us, finding the time and extra cash to make it happen was difficult. Hopefully it’s in the cards for him in 2023. I’d love to run around a few of the parks up here with him, and hopefully, Carrie.
Even if he was unable to do his trip north, there was no way Chris was going to miss out on Pantheon. We made it out to the Platinum Pass Holder Preview Day and got in our first rides. Sadly, things turned out much worse for another preview event Chris attended at Kings Dominion for Tumbili. The weather allowed for only several trains to be sent out before shutting down. He, sadly, was not on them and was unable to get back to the park before the end of the year. I’m guessing Tumbili will be on 2023’s list for Chris along with BGW’s DarKoaster.
9. (tied) Carrie (+1 Credit)
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
Wingman's 2022 Recap
As with her dad, Chris, Carrie made sure to visit BGW to ride Pantheon after years of teasing. Meeting up with them several times over the last few years, we’d always stare at Pantheon and wish we could go test it out. It was just sitting there begging for riders.
I know Carrie was super-excited to finally get to ride Pantheon, like many of us out there. She made sure to ride it plenty of times over multiple visits too.
9. (tied) Mindy (+1 Credit)
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg (1): Pantheon
Wingman's 2022 Recap
I really need to find some time to get Mindy out to a few parks moving forward. Like James, she and I have visited so many parks together prior to the site’s launch in 2020. As I keep saying, however, work and family also kept Mindy busy last year.
Thankfully, Mindy was able to head out for a day of fun with Renee and I to BGW during Spring Break last year. We made our way to Pantheon first thing. The two of them rode in the front seat together and I waited to ride the next train out. That’s the ride where I filmed the Pantheon POV video on the site’s YouTube channel. The three of us had such a great day and I’m looking to include Mindy in more plans moving forward.
