Editor’s Note: This trip report was reformatted in 2022 to match the current style, including photo galleries and ride counts. Older trip reports, however, detailed every ride of the day, whereas newer reports only touch upon a handful of rides. In order to preserve what I wrote, you will still find each ride detailed below.
With a 3.5 hour drive for Sam, Greg, and myself to get to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW) on Friday, September 11, 2020, I decided on a plan that would have us make two stops along the way. The first would be Fun Land of Fredericksburg (FLF) to get the SBF Visa spinning coasters, Twist N Shout. The second, a stop at Go-Karts Plus, 20 minutes outside BGW, for their E&F Miler, Python Pit. Yes, two small credits, but credits nonetheless. Sadly FLF didn’t happen due to their hours of operations, but we still had our stop at Go-Karts Plus.
We arrived at Go-Karts Plus at 3 p.m. and bought our credits. We bought just enough for all three of us to get one ride on Python Pit each, plus one ride for Greg and I on the Zamperla Disk’O. Sam wasn’t feeling a ride on the spinning flat ride.
Since the small park wasn’t busy, I was worried I would not be able to get any footage of Python Pit in motion. I made Sam and Greg ride it without me so I could film. Afterward, I had Greg film my ride just to make sure we had some footage.
I thought it was kind of funny how the ride operator told us that you’re not allowed to put your hands up during the ride at all. I mean, I was told I didn’t need to wear my seat belt though. Guess that was the compromise during the four laps they let you go around the course? Who knows?

Disk'O
Once we all finished on Python Pit, I handed the GoPro to Sam and had her film Greg and I on the Disk’O. These are pretty fun and I love trying some of the different variations on the model. This appears to be the first of the standard Disk’O models I’ve experienced. At Kennywood and Waldameer, I have ridden the Mega Disk’O and at Cedar Point, the Skater Coaster variant. Other parks that I’ve visited have had this model, but I have not ridden one at any of those parks until now.

Relaxing a Bit Before Busch Gardens
With that, our time at the park came to a close. We sat down at some tables for a few to ponder what we should do with our downtime before BGW. We made good time and none of us were hungry, so we just hung out for a bit and enjoy the atmosphere. We all said how much we wished places like Go-Karts Plus were more prevalent throughout the country. Sure, the bigger parks like BGW are awesome, but sometimes it’s just cool to make a stop, hit a few rides and get going with the rest of the day.
If you find yourself in the Williamsburg, Va. region, be sure to make a stop at Go-Karts Plus. Python Pit is a fun little coaster for all you credit hounds out there. There have a lot more to offer that we just didn’t have the time to experience as well. Check out their website for all their rides and offerings.
